Lisa is a reporter on the investigations team. She write long-term, deep-dive stories to create much-needed changes in the local community.

My Background

Lisa Gartner joined the Inquirer as an investigative reporter in 2018. She previously worked as an education and enterprise reporter for the Tampa Bay Times, where she was awarded the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Local Reporting, Livingston Award for Young Journalists and George Polk Award for Education Reporting, among other honors. Lisa is also a narrative writer whose work appears in the 2019 edition of Best American Newspaper Narrative Writing. She is interested in juvenile justice, education and other opportunities to give voice to vulnerable people.
