A.J. Brown says his car has been found after it was stolen overnight and issues warning: ‘Now the joke’s on you’
The Eagles wide receiver’s car was found in Camden a few hours after Brown posted that it was stolen.

A.J. Brown said he woke up to a nasty surprise on Monday. The Eagles wide receiver posted on X that his car had been stolen overnight.
In an effort to get the car back, Brown offered a deal to the thief, saying he would not press charges if the car was returned on Monday.
“Dear Philly,” Brown wrote on X in a since-deleted post. “To whoever stole my car last night, I’ll make a deal with you. … Bring back my car and I won’t press charges, or when I find you today, it’s going to be what it’s going to be. Take it or leave it my guy.”
A few hours later, Brown posted on Instagram that his car had been returned — but by the police, not the suspect.
“I’m out here grinding for the Philadelphia Eagles, and I’ve got to look for my car,” Brown joked. “But see, we’ve already got the whip. I told you to just turn the car back in, and now you’ve got to deal with the consequences, man. I’ll tell y’all a funny joke. This morning, when I was talking to the police, my little son comes up and goes ‘Da-da, Paw Patrol!’ I said, ‘Everybody’s got jokes this morning.’ Now the joke’s on you.”
The Haddonfield Police Department confirmed that the car was located in Camden City and a single suspect was taken into custody. Charges are pending.
A police report stated that the vehicle was a Mercedes, CBS News Philadelphia reported.
“Just bring the whip back, bro,” Brown said on Instagram. “I won’t press charges. Just bring the whip back and you can go on about your day … You were smooth with it though. Pulled up at 3:42, you got up out of there at 3:45, you’re fast on your feet. I’m going to show you how fast I am on my feet. Real talk. This is about to get done today.”
Former teammate C.J. Gardner-Johnson posted on X in support, joking that Brown should just get a new car. Gardner-Johnson’s car was also stolen in the area in 2023 after a playoff win, and he said it was never returned, even though he had the thief on video.
But it turns out Brown had better luck than Gardner-Johnson, and as promised, it did “get done today.”
