Nick Sirianni and the Eagles agree to a multiyear contract extension after Super Bowl success
The head coach was rewarded following a stretch of two Super Bowl appearances in three seasons, culminating in a victory in Super Bowl LIX.
Nick Sirianni is set to head into his fifth season in Philadelphia with a Super Bowl ring and a new contract.
The Eagles head coach has agreed to a multiyear extension, the team announced Monday, three months after helping the franchise to its second Super Bowl victory. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“As an organization, we have always strived to create a championship culture of sustained success,” Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said in a statement. “Nothing is more important to fostering such an environment than having tremendous leadership. Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago.
“His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game, and growth mindset have helped to bring out the best in our team. I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles.”
Sirianni, 43, was set to enter the final year on his previous contract, a reported five-year, $35 million deal that he signed in January 2021. At the league meetings last month in Palm Beach, Fla., Lurie hinted that a long-term agreement with Sirianni was imminent.
“When we were 2-2 [in 2024], we went 16-1 after that, and the one was when Jalen Hurts, we were winning the game, got a concussion,” Lurie said in April. “So it’s not easy to go 16-1 in the National Football League, four of which are against playoff teams, one of which was the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. So, outstanding job.”
The exact terms of Sirianni’s extension have not been reported, but if Ben Johnson’s salary is any indication, the Eagles coach has likely earned a raise. Johnson, the first-time Chicago Bears head coach who was hired in late January, will reportedly make $13 million per year, while Sirianni was previously making a reported $7 million.
Through four years with the Eagles, Sirianni has achieved unprecedented levels of success. He is the first head coach in the Super Bowl era to make the playoffs in each of his first four seasons while reaching multiple Super Bowls.
Sirianni has led the Eagles to historic feats in the regular season, too. His 48-20 regular-season record ranks second in league history among coaches in their first four seasons.

With great success has come great attrition to Sirianni’s coaching staff at its highest ranks throughout his Eagles tenure. After the Eagles’ Super Bowl LVII appearance in 2023, former offensive coordinator Shane Steichen joined the Indianapolis Colts as its head coach, while former defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon nabbed the Arizona Cardinals’ head coaching gig.
This year, the New Orleans Saints hired former Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore as their head coach. Sirianni will have a different offensive coordinator for a fourth straight season in 2025, this time being Kevin Patullo.
