Five Rams players Eagles fans should know before their divisional-round game

by Gabriela Carroll

The Eagles will meet the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs at 3 p.m. Sunday, with the winner advancing to the NFC championship. In case you missed their last matchup on Nov. 24, or just need a refresher, here are five Rams to watch on Sunday …

Matthew Stafford, quarterback

Stafford won the Super Bowl in his first year with the Rams in 2021. The veteran quarterback is still as steady and consistent as ever, passing for 3,762 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2024.

Cooper Kupp, receiver

Like the Eagles, the Rams have a two-headed monster at receiver. Theirs is Kupp and Puka Nacua. Kupp, the 2021 NFL Offensive Player of the Year, played in just 12 games this season, but still logged 67 catches for 710 yards and six TDs.

Puka Nacua, receiver

Nacua burst on to the scene in 2023, setting the rookie receiving yards record. Despite missing time with a knee injury, he caught 79 passes for 990 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games this season.

Braden Fiske, defensive tackle

The rookie Fiske is a disruptor on the interior, leading the Rams in sacks with 8.5 in the regular season. The Rams sacked the Vikings nine times in their wild-card round rout.

Jared Verse, linebacker

Verse is another Rams rookie phenom on defense. He had 77 pressures, 41 solo tackles, 16 assists, 56 hurries, six sacks, and two forced fumbles. And he returned a fumble for a 57-yard TD vs. the Vikings in the wild-card round.
