Report: Eagles’ Jalen ‘Two Shoes’ Hurts fined for uniform violation vs. Steelers
Hurts was fined $5,628 for violating the NFL’s uniform and equipment rules, according to NFL Network.
Jalen Hurts might have tried to give himself a new nickname, “Jalen Two Shoes,” when a knotted cleat caused him to briefly wear mismatched shoes during a 37-17 Eagles win in Cincinnati in late October, but the NFL doesn’t appear to be too fond of Hurts’ making it a routine.
Hurts, according to a report from NFL Network, was fined $5,628 for violating the NFL’s uniform and equipment rules during last Sunday’s 27-13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
During the game, Hurts wore one midnight green cleat and one kelly green cleat. The NFL rule book says that “a player may wear shoes that are black, white or any constitutional team color, or any combination of black, white and a constitutional team color.”

Hurts explained Wednesday that he was supposed to wear Jordan Columbia 11s, but those shoes hadn’t come in yet, and after taking some pictures with mismatched shoes on his feet, he decided he liked the look and would wear them on Sunday.
Hurts was asked if he would continue with the look, considering how well he played.
“We’ll see,” he said with a laugh.
