Swifties lashed out after ‘New Heights’ congratulated the Eagles. Jason Kelce says that’s not why they deleted the post.
The original post, which is now deleted, read, “Congrats to all our Birds fan 92%ers and Jason’s Eagles teammates on an incredible season,” after the Eagles beat the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

New Heights is ostensibly a Chiefs and Eagles show, thanks to Travis and Jason Kelce’s careers with each team. But after the Birds won Super Bowl LIX over the Chiefs, some 92%ers were not pleased with the podcast’s social media accounts post to celebrate the win.
The original post, which is now deleted, read, “Congrats to all our Birds fan 92%ers and Jason’s Eagles teammates on an incredible season,” and the accompanying graphic shared a quote from Jason, who said, “There’s a lot of people in the Philadelphia organization that feel like family to me.”

Chiefs fans, many of them also Taylor Swift fans, lashed out at the account for posting about the opponent when Travis was the only brother to play in the actual game, unlike during the “Kelce Bowl” in Super Bowl LVII. Some Swifties also criticized Jason for stating publicly that he would be supporting both Travis and his former Eagles teammates in the game. Kelce said on ESPN’s pregame show ahead of Super Bowl LIX that “the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.”
Swifties also expressed their anger toward defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s Instagram stories taking shots at Travis, saying he should not have broken up with his ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole — who celebrated on the field after the game with the Eagles. Gardner-Johnson and Travis appeared to have a short on-field confrontation in the fourth quarter.
The New Heights podcast ultimately deleted the posts congratulating the Eagles from all their social media platforms. The show elected not to post during the Super Bowl, not even to recognize Travis breaking the NFL record for most catches by a tight end in the Super Bowl.

On Tuesday, Jason Kelce posted his own congratulations message to the Eagles, writing that it was “odd” to watch his former teammates play against his brother.
“That game was odd for me to watch if I’m being completely honest. I knew it was going to be mixed emotions before, during, and after, and I now know what my parents had to deal with two years ago. On one hand, I wanted what is best for my brother, and to see his success. And on the other hand, there are so many people, teammates, and coaches, in the Philadelphia Eagles organization that I care deeply about, Many of whom I owe my own success to throughout my career.”
Jason also shared that he was the one who asked the podcast to delete the graphic, because it featured photos of him with members of the team.
The New Heights podcast ultimately reposted Jason’s congratulations message.
The next episode of New Heights is expected to drop Wednesday.
