2025 Eagles free agency tracker: All the Birds’ signings, trades, and other roster moves
The Eagles haven’t made any major signings in free agency after losing three starters.
The Eagles entered free agency with nearly all their starters set to return for the 2025 season, though there have been a fair amount of additions and departures.
The Super Bowl champs lost two starters on the first day of free agency — edge rusher Josh Sweat and defensive tackle Milton Williams. A third starter, offensive lineman Mekhi Becton, signed with the Los Angeles Chargers a few days later.
The Eagles were projected to have around $22 million in salary-cap space entering free agency, according to Over the Cap, which general manager Howie Roseman needed to add few free agents and sign draft picks.
Here’s a look at all the moves the Eagles have made during the NFL’s free agency period, which we’ll continue to update:
Players the Eagles have signed
Matt Pryor, offensive lineman: Drafted by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2018 draft, Pryor is returning to Philadelphia on a one-year deal after spending last season with the Chicago Bears.
Kendall Lamm, offensive tackle: He signed a one-year deal with the Eagles to help provide depth. The 32-year-old Lamm played for the Miami Dolphins for the past three seasons.
Azeez Ojulari, edge rusher: The former Giants pass rusher signed with the Eagles on a one-year deal. The former second-round pick out of Georgia has a “pretty high ceiling,” according to The Inquirer’s Jeff Neiburg.
Patrick Johnson, linebacker: The outside linebacker spent the first three seasons of his career with the Eagles, mostly as a special teams contributor. He’s returning on a one-year deal.
Kylen Granson, tight end: The Eagles are adding the former Colts tight end on a one-year deal, their second free agent tight end so far, further fueling speculation that Dallas Goedert could be dealt.
Avery Williams, return specialist: The former Falcons specialist is signing a one-year deal after two of the Eagles’ kick returners — Kenneth Gainwell and Isaiah Rodgers — signed elsewhere.
Charley Hughlett, long snapper: The 34-year-old is signing a one-year deal with the Eagles, a sign the Birds are moving on from veteran Rick Lovato, who is currently an unrestricted free agent.
Adoree’ Jackson, cornerback: The 30-year-old veteran, who landed a one-year deal with the Eagles, spent the past four seasons with the New York Giants. Over the course of his career, Jackson has started 82 of his 97 NFL games, so he brings experience to a young secondary.
Harrison Bryant, tight end: The Eagles are signing the former Las Vegas Raiders tight end to a one-year deal.
Joshua Uche, linebacker: The Eagles are signing the former Kansas City Chiefs edge rusher to a one-year deal following Josh Sweat’s departure to the Arizona Cardinals.
AJ Dillon, running back: The former Green Bay Packers back missed all of last season with a neck injury, but has been cleared to return by a neck specialist this offseason, according to the NFL Network.
Players the Eagles have re-signed
Ben VanSumeren, linebacker and fullback: The 24-year-old exclusive rights free agent will remain in Philly on a new one-year deal. VanSumeren missed the final month of the season and the playoffs after injuring his knee during practice.
Zack Baun, linebacker: The Eagles locked down one of their biggest free agents last week, signing the surprise All-Pro to a three-year deal reportedly worth $51 million.
Saquon Barkley, running back: The Eagles rewarded their MVP candidate with a contract extension that will make him the highest-paid running back in the NFL. The two-year deal is valued at $41.2 million and includes $36 million fully guaranteed.

Eagles trades
C.J. Gardner-Johnson, safety: The Eagles are trading Gardner-Johnson and a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for guard Kenyon Green and a 2025 fifth-round pick, according to The Inquirer’s Jeff McLane.
Kenny Pickett, quarterback: The Eagles are trading Pickett to the Cleveland Browns for a 2025 fifth-round pick and quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson. The Eagles gave up a 2024 third-round pick and two 2025 seventh-round picks to acquire Pickett from the Pittsburgh Steelers last year. The Birds also landed a fourth-round pick in last year’s draft, which they used to select running back Will Shipley.
Eagles players who signed elsewhere
Avonte Maddox, cornerback: He signed a one-year contract with the Detroit Lions. Maddox had played all seven seasons of his NFL career with the Eagles.
Fred Johnson, offensive lineman: He signed a contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars that according to ESPN is a one-year deal. Johnson played for the past two seasons with the Eagles, including six starts in 2024.
Parris Campbell, wide receiver: He agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys after catching six passes with a touchdown for the Eagles.
Mekhi Becton, guard: After one season with the Eagles, the tackle-turned-guard is signing a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers, ending speculation that he’d return and setting up a competition to replace him on the offensive line.
Darius Slay, cornerback: The six-time Pro Bowler is signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, earning a one-year, $10 million deal. Slay had one year remaining on his Eagles’ contract and was set to carry a $13.8 million salary-cap hit in 2025 before the team released him.
Kenneth Gainwell, running back: Gainwell, draft by the Eagles in the fifth-round of the 2021 draft, is signing a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to multiple reports.
Oren Burks, linebacker: Burks is leaving the Eagles to sign a two-year, $5 million deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, according to the Inquirer’s Jeff McLane.
Milton Williams, defensive tackle: According to multiple reports, Williams, who had two sacks and a forced fumble/recovery in the Super Bowl, will sign with the New England Patriots, after previous reports had him joining the Carolina Panthers.
Josh Sweat, edge rusher: Sweat, who led the Eagles with eight sacks last season, reportedly has agreed to a four-year, $76.4 million deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
Isaiah Rodgers, cornerback: According to ESPN, Rodgers is signing a two-year deal with Minnesota Vikings worth $15 million.
Eagles players who have been released but not signed elsewhere
James Bradberry, safety: The Eagles released the veteran defender Wednesday after he spent the entire 2024 season on injured reserve. The move is designated as a post-June 1 release, which will clear $2.1 million in salary-cap space for the Eagles, according to Over the Cap.
