Sixers host Thanksgiving for service members

The 76ers and Toyota welcomed 100 service members and their families for a Thanksgiving dinner on Battleship New Jersey on Thursday, Nov. 21.

The 76ers and Toyota welcomed 100 servicemembers and their families for a Thanksgiving dinner on Battleship New Jersey on Thursday, Nov. 21. In partnership with local military bases and organizations, head coach Nick Nurse and select 76ers players will join staff members from the 76ers in serving the meal. Franklin, the team’s mascot, and Squad 76 will also be on site, providing live entertainment throughout the evening.  This event is the culmination of the 76ers and Toyota’s month-long “Stars & Stripes” initiative, recognizing the brave men and women who have and continue to represent our country.
