Phillies to play the Mets in London in 2024

The two-game series will be played June 8-9, 2024 at London Stadium, MLB announced on Friday.

As expected, the Phillies will travel to London next year to face the Mets in a two-game regular-season series, Major League Baseball announced Friday.

The games will be played June 8-9, 2024, at London Stadium, which opened in 2012 as Olympic Stadium.

”Major League Baseball has done an excellent job of expanding its footprint internationally, and we are honored to play a role in that effort,” Phillies managing partner John Middleton said in a statement. “This will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase our players’ talents and highlight the excitement that comes with a Phillies-Mets matchup for our fans in the UK and for those who have never attended a baseball game.”

Phillies-Mets will mark the third MLB series in London, following the Red Sox-Yankees series in June 2019 and this weekend’s meeting between the Cubs and Cardinals.

Last year, MLB enlisted Chase Utley as its ambassador to the United Kingdom. The former Phillies star has been living in London and helping to spread enthusiasm for baseball overseas.
