Philly Pride March and Festival

(Community) June is Pride Month and the city has no shortage of celebrations. Kick this off this weekend with flag raisings and a street festival in the Gayborhood.

Roots Picnic

(Music / festival) The Mann Center in Fairmount Park transforms into Philly’s most anticipated music festival of the year, curated by hometown heroes Questlove and Black Thought. This two-day celebration brings big-name headliners, up-and-comers, and surprise guests across multiple stages, plus podcast recordings, food vendors, merch, and a full city takeover vibe. While not kid-specific, it’s an iconic experience for older teens or music-loving families who don’t mind a crowd.

Court 16 Open House

(Community) Looking to get your tennis game together before the start of the summer? Head to Court 16 for their complimentary open house. Kids and adults can come play and the pros will lead you through the fundamentals you need to own the court.

Shuckfest 2025

(Community) It’s Oyster season and the city’s favorite oyster festival is back for another year. Head to Liberty Point at Penn’s Landing and delight in an oyster lovers dream. The day will include live music, food and drinks, shucking tutorials and more. Children under 10 can enter for free.

Devon Horse Show & County Fair

(Community) The Devon Horse Show is an annual tradition and one of the largest multi-breed horse shows in the country. Come watch as competitors from around the world showcase their skills in hopes of winning top prize. The County Fair hosts dozens of pop up restaurants, fair food stands, boutique shopping vendors and more.

Latino Arts & Film Festival

(Movies) Film lovers, this one’s for you. Enjoy well crafted cinematic magic created by established and emerging Latino filmmakers. The festival will include feature films, shorts, animations, web series and documentaries, as well as workshops and discussions.

Dining Under the Stars in Media

Festival of Fountains

(Community) A visit to Longwood Gardens is a must on your spring and summer bucket lists. All spring and summer, the fountains in the gardens come to live, with some jets blasting as high as 175 feet. Pride March & Festival

(Pride / free) For kids who love parades, this one’s hard to beat: The Philadelphia Pride March features the nation’s longest rainbow flag (600 feet!), lively floats, bands, and jaw-dropping outfits. After the march ends at noon, the Gayborhood-wide festival kicks off, including a dedicated family zone with games and drag storytime. Ages 2 and up.

Free First Sunday

Free First Sunday Family Day
