Temporary unit set up at Suburban Community Hospital

A mobile hospital unit has been set up at Suburban Community Hospital in Montgomery County to increase capacity in anticipation of a surge in patients with COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

Friday, April 10, 2020. Since March 7th, more than 1,500 Montgomery County residents have tested positive for COVID-19, and 49 individuals have lost their lives. In preparation for a potential future surge of COVID-19 patients, a temporary 40-bed facility will be established within Suburban Community Hospital in East Norriton Township.
