House of the week: A ‘not huge’ rowhouse in Graduate Hospital for $425,000
The two-bedroom house was fully renovated within the last decade and has a rear yard with a screened-in patio.

“Disclosure,” said Liz Scott, “it’s not huge.”
But for nine years Scott, her wife, Jill, and their two sons lived in the two-bedroom, 1½-bathroom rowhouse on the edge of the Graduate Hospital neighborhood.
The Scotts originally bought the house a decade ago as an investment property, with the idea of flipping it, then decided to renovate it and move in.
They had been living directly behind the home and renting it out for the past two years, but now they have decided to move to Valencia, Spain, with their younger son. There they will continue working remotely, Liz as a construction consultant, Jill as a licensed clinical social worker.
“The block is lovely,” Scott said. “We lived there during the pandemic and home-schooled the kids there.”
Liz Scott, who is a general contractor as well as a Realtor, did all the design and renovation work. (She is also the Realtor on this property.)
“It was a pretty big renovation,” she said, “digging out the basement, all new floors, the kitchen, appliances.”
The 1,115-square-foot house, which is about a century old, has the kitchen, dining area, and a full bathroom on the first floor.
The second floor has the primary suite and a second bedroom, which has a built-in desk and loft bed.
The rear yard has a covered, screened-in patio and wooden fence, with a ceiling fan and heat lamp.
The finished basement has built-in custom storage and a large linen closet.
The house has easy access to public transit and is a block from businesses including Sprouts Farmers Market, Target, Chipotle, and a state liquor store, as well as parks and playgrounds.
The property is in the E.M. Stanton Elementary School catchment area.
It is listed by Liz Scott of OCF Realty for $425,000.
