House of the week: End-of-the-row townhouse near Media for $944,900
Community amenities include a clubhouse, fitness center, and playground.

For AJ Stanton, it was the open-concept kitchen, wooded backdrop, the bird feeder with the never-ending parade of cardinals and woodpeckers, and the neighborhood with many young families.
For her husband, Matt, it was the accessibility to Center City by Regional Rail, the size and layout of the house, and the family orientation of the neighborhood.
So AJ, who is in IT staffing, and Matt, who is in banking, bought the four-bedroom, 3½-bathroom house in the Ponds Edge community near Media shortly after its completion in 2022, moved from Rittenhouse Square, and settled in.
But the arrival of a son changed their plans, and they are now moving to New Jersey to be closer to their families.
The 3,640-square-foot, end-of-the-row house, which blends Colonial and contemporary architectural styles, has an open floor plan on the lower level with all four bedrooms on the upper level.
There is vinyl plank flooring on all levels. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a five-burner stove, and an island. There is a formal dining room and a family room with a gas fireplace with a marble surround.
The main floor also has a half-bathroom and a walk-out deck.
The primary suite has a large walk-in closet, a tray ceiling, and a spa-like bathroom with a floor-to-ceiling tile, walk-in shower, and a two-sink vanity with quartz countertops.
The second floor has a full laundry room with a washer and dryer.
The finished basement has a full bath, built-in dry bar, and access to the backyard. The home has a two-car garage and driveway parking for two more cars.
There is a full security system with alarms. Community amenities include a clubhouse, fitness center, and playground.
Media’s commercial center is a short drive away.
The house is in the Rose Tree-Media School District.
It is listed by John Zeigler of Vylla for for $944,900.
