After her administration struck a tentative contract agreement with American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees District Council 33 early Wednesday morning, Mayor Cherelle Parker gave a news conference and spoke about the intense negotiations. “You can’t get through something as intense as this and not have to go through healing time, but our city is here. I’m here," Parker said. "We’re going to work in partnership with our District Council 33 men and women because that’s the only way that we can realize what you always hear me talk about, and what is that? One Philly, a united city, you can’t do it unless we work during this time to make sure that we are healing wounds.”
