Meet Biggie, the shop cat at Philly's Talking Headz

Part of Elaina Kalogerakis’ job as manager at Talking Headz Salon is placing bulk orders of cat-sized ties for Biggie, the rescue who has lived inside the salon since 2019. “He needs to be dressed for work every day,” said Kalogerakis. “He’s the great overseer.” Biggie’s ShopCats app tote bag references Talking Headz’s whimsical-yet-hardcore interior design. In it, he lounges on a couch against a backdrop of purple mushrooms, a reference to the salon’s signature wallpaper. A sign advertises “free butt pats,” the cat’s favorite way to be pet. The most important is Biggie’s iPad. He has high screen time from watching bird videos.
