On Feb. 25 Celal and Emine Emanet made national news, cited by immigration advocates as a prime example of government injustice after ICE agents appeared at the restaurant and arrested them.

Emine Emanet spent two weeks in detention before being released on bond, as supporters raised more than $327,000 for the family.
