Three teenage boys have been hospitalized following a shooting in East Mount Airy Saturday afternoon, and police said all were being held at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital as prisoners.
The gunfire took place just after 5 p.m. on the 900 block of East Upsal Street.
One of the victims, an unidentified 15-year-old shot in the chest, was in critical condition, police said. The youngest, a 14-year-old, was in stable condition with a gunshot wound in his right thigh. A 16-year-old grazed in the face with a bullet was in stable condition, police said.
No motive was given for the shooting and no weapons were recovered, police said.
